GC Gold Label 1 Luting & Lining Cement 1-1 PKG
A self-cured, strontium-based glass ionomer cement for luting metal-based restorations, orthodontic bands, and as a liner/base. It offers chemical adhesion, fluoride release, radiopacity, and promotes internal remineralization.
Description
GC Gold Label 1 is a strontium-based, self-cured glass ionomer luting and lining cement designed for the final cementation of crown and bridge restorations. It chemically bonds to both tooth structure and metal, providing excellent strength and marginal integrity for long-term restorations. This cement is also well-suited for securing metal inlays, onlays, posts, and orthodontic brackets. The strontium glass in its formulation provides good radiopacity and snap-set characteristics, which are preferred by clinicians. It can also mimic calcium in forming strontium hydroxyapatite and strontium fluoroapatite, aiding in internal remineralization within the tooth structure. Research indicates that a strontium-based glass ionomer strengthens over time when exposed to a calcium-containing environment like saliva. The material displays a glossy surface after mixing, indicating sufficient free polyacrylic acid for the ion exchange process, which creates a chemical fusion and a consistent, predictable seal.
