Description
The Shofu Beautifil II Basic Kit is a light-cure, fluoride-releasing, nanohybrid direct aesthetic restorative material system. It features Beautifil II composite, which incorporates S-PRG (Surface Pre-Reacted Glass) filler technology. This technology allows the material to release and recharge fluoride, responding to the fluoride concentration in the mouth, which can help in preventing secondary caries and is beneficial for high caries risk patients. The composite is designed for superior aesthetics with excellent shade match, stability, and enhanced handling characteristics while maintaining strength and durability. Its filler structure aims to mimic the natural tooth’s light transmission and optical properties. Beautifil II also exhibits an anti-plaque effect, where a material film layer formed by saliva on the restored tooth surface is reported to minimize plaque adhesion and inhibit bacterial colonization. The kit typically includes a selection of Beautifil II composite syringes in various shades and Beautibond, a self-etch, HEMA-free, single-bottle bonding agent featuring unique dual adhesive monomer technology for a secure and durable bond to enamel and dentin with reduced post-operative sensitivity.
